Our lab investigates the molecular basis of human disease. A broad spectrum of diseases are caused by aberrant RNAs. We study how pre-mRNA splicing and expression of small non-coding regulatory microRNAs are altered in diseased cells. Usher syndrome, Batten Disease, Spinal muscular atrophy and Alzheimer’s disease are focuses of our research.
